JUMPER: Witchery – in stores! // JACKET: Cotton On // JEANS: Cotton On // SHOES: Jo Mercer
It’s true… the 90s are back and even though I was only around for 6 years of the nineties, I can definitely relate to little toddler Courtney being dressed up in the coolest denim in the world.
Denim is something that we can’t go a day without – well, I can’t and so when Cotton On decided to launch their 91 Denim campaign, I was stoked. I have got a few posts to show the denim that I picked up from this range and had to start here with these show stoppers. These jeans are SICK! The boyfriend look + awesome American patches are just ticking all my boxes and I am a little obsessed. Everyone I have shown these to has just asked “are these available? Like, can I get these now??”
Guess what? You certainly can!
To top it off, they fulfilled my denim jacket dreams and I have finally found a denim jacket that fits just how I want it to. It’s like I entered denim heaven on the weekend and now I am satisfied for a while.
Always wondered how to wash your denim?
Well, I asked the experts at Cotton On last Saturday and although I knew both techniques. I definitely know I need to give the latter a go!
Firstly, it’s simple, put your jeans inside out, cold hand wash with mild detergent and then let t hem dry out in the shade. Do not put them in the sun (especially if they are black) as they will fade dramatically.
Secondly, yes I know – crazy. Put your jeans in the freezer. Putting your jeans in the freezer has said to be one of the best ways to clean your jeans without them losing their shape or colour. The freezer helps to kill all the bacteria in your jeans just like when you wash them. The most important thing is once they have been in the freezer overnight, is to let them thaw outside in the shade as you would let anything dry. Don’t try to play with your frozen jeans as they will be very stiff and who knows what could happen!!
I have always complained about my black jeans fading dramatically and either going green, grey or purple. Like seriously, I bought you to be black – please stay black. Anyway, as soon as I am back from this whirlwind adventure overseas, I am going to try this freezer thing and come back to you with my results!
What’s your go-to denim style? Are you a denim fan?
With Love,
Court x
